(On inquiring in the nearby shops, the writer came to know that the son of the old lady was dead due to snake bite. He was the only earner in the family. All the household goods and money were lost in trying to save the son. Two grandchildren were starving in the house. Due to lack of money, the very next day after the death of the son, the old lady had to come to the market to sell melons.)
