Author writes about his experience of meeting a man named Hamid Khan while travelling to Takshila in Pakistan. The story happens in a place called Takshila where the author meets Hamid Khan and is very impressed by him.

Takshila was part of British India but after partition is now in Pakistan. The author remembers about Hamid Khan when he reads about an article about communal violence and “huge fire in Takshila”.

On reading this news the author becomes distressed and recalls Hamid Khan and sympathizes with him and prays for his well being. This is because in the past the Author had been to Takshila and met Hamid Khan.
